    Welcome to Mrs. Roth's Wiki.
I have created this Wiki with the goal of providing a one stop dropping location for Jing Unit results.
A secondary goal? A place that students would be able to post their work, for parents to look/learn from them.
    Let's get to work.

    Composing Files
NOTE: Ponderings and Tidbits. Take time to read and follow the directives below. Each of the 4 quarters of the school year.
    Topics And Instructions

    2. Double-space paragraphs. Spelling and grammar must be correct or it will receive no credit.
    3. Use twelve point, Times New Roman style font.
    4. You must use a title, the title can be as large as 20 pt., Times New Roman, one line in length.
    5. Use default margins.
    6. Of the following topics:
REQUIRED: Item "a”: due by September 10. Choose from remaining items: ONE paper is due each quarter.
    a. Describe your outlook on this coming year. What changes do you plan to make? What do you want to accomplish with your school work? Personal life? Career, work??
    b. Describe your first day of school. (it can be either this year’s first day or any other year-all the way back to kindergarten)
    c. There is an adage that states “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Think of an experience in your life where you have had to try many times to become successful. Describe this experience and the end result.
    d. Name someone (past or present) who you would like to meet and explain why.
    e. Tell your life story. Include information about your family, where you live, your interests, what you do in your spare time, your personal characteristics, etc.
    f. Describe your three (or up to five) greatest achievements. What are you most proud of (so far) in your life that is a result of your hard work and efforts?
    g. Take a stand on a debatable topic. Explain why you believe the way you do.
    h. There is an adage that states “Time flies when you are having fun”. Describe a time when this was true.
    i. Describe the most beautiful thing that you have ever seen.
    j. Describe the qualities that you look for in a true friend. If you are lucky enough to have a “true friend”, describe that person (or people) to me.
    k. Imagine that you have six months to live. What do you want to accomplish? What legacy would you like to leave behind? How do you want people to remember you?
    l. Name up to three people whom you admire. Tell me about these people and why you admire them.
    m. There is an adage that states, “The grass is always greener on the other side”. Describe a time when you thought someone else had it better and later discovered that maybe you don’t have it so bad after all.
    n. Describe the most difficult thing you have even done.
    o. My Wonderful Classmates. Devote at least one paragraph to each person in this class. State as many positive characteristics as you can about each.
    p. Describe the most fun you have ever had.
    q. There is an adage that states, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”. Do you believe this is true or not? Explain your thoughts.
    r. Explore your passions. What do you LOVE to do in your spare time? Many people combine what they love to do with their occupation, is that a possibility for you? Think beyond high school.
    s. Describe what you envision college life to be like. (or if not college, life after high school)
    t. Choose an unused topic from the previous sections.
